Established in 1991 as a medical center within Fergana State University, the Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health has steadily evolved over the years. In June 1998, through an executive order from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the center was restructured into the Fergana Branch of the Tashkent State Second Medical Institute.
